Also got footage of our runs at BCF on the Cheoah last year. Not sure which of our awesome support / film crew shot it, but Bubba gets pushed harder right than I did and actually goes off the drop a bit sideways then throws down a monster deep brace to save face / hair at the bottom ... how it's done! See separate posting of that ... thought I would post our runs there last year to point out the sweet right line at the ledge for reference to my earlier post.

You know, that is a really nice brace. Elbows in, paddle not over-extended, brace ending in a stroke, that's what you want to see.

Very sweet!! Thanks for posting this Wes --
Anytime you put something up about Brit, I let Marleigh see it. She's
really excited about paddling -- And seeing that there are others out there her age helps a lot. Thanks for posting this.....

OK, I'm trying to learn how to video edit and here's my first project. The setting is Nanty Falls, 9/28/08. Brit gets blown left of the sweet tongue and doesn't straighten out before going over the ledge. Normally, this would mean an automatic power slam flip, but she shows us how it's done by laying down an awesome face saving brace. Why Brit doesn't swim often or get much roll practice (until I pushed her a bit to III+ / III-IV!!!)

If you can't brace reflexively like that, and would like to learn how, see me at the roll sessions.
