Looking at the current production system (not the www4 beta system) . . .
I've been seeing a sudden increase in 'empty comments'. That is, there will be a date/time stamp, and user name, but no actual comment. I'm hard pressed to expect that we suddenly just have people actually entering blank comments, or that the system would even allow (store and display) blank comments. Any way of investigating what may be going on here?

I had been deleting them where I've seen them, but now I wonder. For an example, there is one on [www.americanwhitewater.org]

If it is something unique to the 'old' system which can't happen in the 'new' system, I suppose it's not a big deal (if the new system is really set to roll out within the next week or so). OTOH, I don't recall seeing this before, so unless it has somehow been addressed, it seems likely to be able to occur in the new system as well.

Hmmm. Not sure rob. I will add a check to make sure that comments actually exist right now so we don't get blanks in the new system. I can probably find and nuke them in SQL at roll-out.
