Streamkeeping and website discussions

Seems like it would be good to have a forum specific to website issues and Streamkeeper river page issues. Some of these issues are resolved quickly but some technique discussions should stick around and not get lost among more general river running discussions. I am thinking of discussions about photo and video uploads, different types of maps, things that should and should not be linked, etc.

I also want to compliment Ryan Groth on the tremendous improvements in the website and river pages over the past months. It has been amazing as major bugs have steadily dissappeared and real improvements have become more appearant.

Some things I have noticed are:
Cookies now work again, so I can stay logged in and the website recognizes me when I log back in.

I especially appreciate that editing options are now available directly on the river page for any rivers within my region. This makes it much easier to do quick edits. Thank you!

The new way of assigning new streamkeepers is nice also, with drop down options and word completion.

We now have the option of deleting any of our uploaded photos. That is good. Just the other day, I somehow uploaded the same photo 3 times. With the old system that would have been a hassle to correct, but now it is easy to delete the two duplicates.

The truth was that those things were annoying me too.

I agree. I'd like to see a "Stream Team" forum, for the reasons Paul lists. It could go either under the heading of "Stewardship" or under its own heading. How can we set that up?

A dedicated StreamTeam Forum has now been created.

Thanks Barry! I just moved the website threads over to this new forum.

Thanks guys,

I like it! Nicer to discuss work in our own discreet area without have to sort through lost paddles and learning how to kayak threads.
