When Clay says boof, boof your A$$ off. Brent and I were the oldest people at the takeout – Senior Day at the Green. I had controllable to decent to good lines except for Groove Tube second Day. I have cracked helmet and sore neck today. John Dale has an awesome bow rescue. Stay upright with precision everywhere. Go to the Green with you’re A+++ game. If you have to ask someone if you are ready to run the Green, think about not going. Go with Clay and John Dale. Want to go back. Want to be safe. Russell Fork this summer, helped me train for the Green. Description of the rapids - drops are steep and close together – duh - watch the video. If I never run Go Left, Gorilla, or Sunshine; that is OK.
Clay,
I may keep saying this; thanks again for the lines and the help in the experience in getting 2 runs on the Green this weekend. Your leadership in description and safety made this possible for me. I do not believe anyone could have done a better. I have done a bit of paddling the past couple of years. This is the highlight.
John Dale,
Thanks for all the lines and safety. Watching your lines and knowing you were running safety was huge for me on getting the confidence to run the steepness of the Green.
Brent,
Thanks for the steep counseling and confidence building. You triggered this thing starting 2 years ago.
YT: Once again another great boating weekend. YT is rock solid and I will paddle with you anywhere bro. Great paddling partner as many of your friends know. My first time back on the Green in ten years. Couldn't ask for a better trip leader than Clay. Alot of the run came back to me, but it was wonderful to have Clay break it down and Jon Dale run safety. Good lines, good times and good friends. That is what boatin is all about. Definitely the highlight of my year too. Man, my fiftieth year here on Gaia has been an absolute boating bonanza. And we still got Gauley and RF season ahead. Gotta love it.
Was hoping to get on the Green this season and wanted no other TL's than Clay / Jon Dale. Glad you guys and a safe / fun run. Wish I could have been there! Looks like next year for me
Wes
I take offense to you flaming on my safety boater. I think perhaps you are jealous of his very handsome good looks and his younger hard paddling demeanor.
I suggest the following activities in which you could use your time a much better since you are now becoming the man-slave to the beautiful, smart, and talented Ms. Mello. One, shopping for the freshest foods and finest wines that you can use to prepare the gourmet meals fit for your new bride. Two, mowing the lawn, doing the laundry, washing the dishes, and cleaning the bathroom since these tasks are no longer acceptable for Ms. Mello to perform.

PS. Wish you were there this past weekend. Hope to get the chance to paddle with you during Gauley and Russell Fork season. Congratulations again on your upcoming marriage to Sarah. As you know, you are a very lucky man.
