White Oak Creek in Georgetown, OH, near Maysville, KY

All, I'm not boating today, and I know there must be plenty of creeks flowing in central KY but I've paddled this creek numerous times and today it's at an epic level.

This about a 1.5hr drive from Lex but would be worth it IMO. There is a crew headed there right now but you could probably tag along with them if they do a second run.

Check it out here. Its at 6500 cfs and rising. Fun up up to HUGE !!!, 10k +.

Just sayin.....

I grew up around Whiteoak and can attest to the truth of what they are telling you. Whiteoak above 3 or 4 grand is big water, big waves and big holes. Fairly continous too in that bottom 5 or 6 miles.

Yes, there is whitewater in Ohio.

Just take a look for yourself.
Here's video from a few years ago.
Level was around 8000 that day.

Now, the creek has changed and 8000 washes out Heroin Hole
and Methadone Clinic. But a new wave has formed on river left next to them.
and here's an old photo of First Ledge

It's the biggest hole on the run. 100 yards above Heroin Hole.
Here's what Heroin Hole used to look like.
