I taked with Scott and based on the above posts, the forecast and the fact its suppossed to be colder than a frogs tail in December + also raining, Scott and I are reluctatly going to sit this trip out. We really appreciate the effort put forth by Hanley to make this trip happen but ol mother nature just ain't going to cooperate this go around.
Heather, I know you as well as many others will be disappointed that there will be no video footage of me attempting to kill myself this weekend via base jumping or boating the upper New (NOTE: I use the word "boating" very loosely here as many would argue what I do while in my kayak is considered more a tune to uncontrolled bombing than actual boating). Because I'm such a hell of a guy and hate to disappoint, I've decided that I will make every effort to paddle some localy this weekend to once again entertain those interested in watching a newbie misread the water, hit every rock on the creek and basically just crash and burn their way down the water.
Heather- its a deal, I'll be practicing my roll this weekend both Saturday and Sunday. I likely will also practice my swimming techinique but I'm ok with you not following this example.
Was great to paddle with you guys on Monday. Hopefully I'll see some of you all on the creeks this weekend.
