Upper Gauley Offer

Okay, Dr. Jeff is bailing on me too, so I'm on my own right now to do the Upper G on Sunday, so I'm putting forth this offer.

I can swing a spot in a commercial raft trip or arrange shuttle, plus pay for all the gas and beer for anyone who wants to do a one-day trip to the Upper Gauley on Sunday. Yes, it will be cold, but the trip will be short and well furnished. Any takers, or am I on my own?

Hanley,

I would love to bro, but, the RF is calling. Why don't you come and we will take a casual chill trip down the RF and I can show you some "ole guy" lines I take when my shoulder is not feeling it's best like it is currently and has been all fall. lol. Seriously, it will be warmer and in the low 50's and we can take our time. If ya wanna switch gears that way. It will be fun . . .

Hanley & Brent,
I would like to do both but a day trip to the Upper G. is 14 hrs driving, to much for one day and not sure about a full release on the RFG. I've not run anything with a lot of push or very hard in a month or so. So I'm trying to get someone to go to the Caney Fork. See you guys on the water soonthe finger smiley

Dang, Caney Fork is another of my favorite runs. Can't pass up the RF this weekend, but that would definitely be a move for me if it werent for that. I think YT, Mello, Bubba, me and a bunch others got on it this past spring at about 1000 (?) I think and about 1.9 on the gauge. Was plenty juicy and there were swimmers that day for sure. The more water it gets, the beefier for sure on Caney Fork. Ya'll have fun if you go.

I had great time on the Caney Fork. Challenging run. Class IV for 10+ miles. Continuous fun with boat scout most of the way. Hope to be there again soon. With any luck, we willl see water in Caney Fork drainage through the winter months. I would be careful about running at higher levels.

YT...did you get pics of me and Mello running Devil's Kitchen?

Man, we should've ran that one again on that Sunday!
