I don't have my kids this year for Thanksgiving and would love to hit some water --
I'll need to beg and plead for some gear to keep me warm - I DON"T DO COLD - but I feel an uncanny calling to the river --- I

Someone, anyone, up for leading me down some river somewhere -- Class II's (baby III's with a great guide) is all I'm comfortable with.....

I'm available as early as I need to be on Friday and can be gone until Sunday at 6 --

let me know.....

Well, I would love to boat something Thanksgiving weekend, but alas, other obligations will keep me off the river generally. Except, maybe this Wednesday and on Sunday. I believe I could muster a day trip on both of those days to, perhaps the RFG. For those into some Low Flow runs I would surmise the river to be in the 400 + range. Weather looks pretty decent for Wednesday. Work appears to be slow for that day, so, might as well go boating. Anybody interested? YT? Mello? Wes? Bubba? Dallas, Bruce F., Allen K., Will, e-bobs, Bart, Wavey, anybody wanna play hooky on Wednesday and go "day trippin, yeah"? I can start juggling now if so.

Hey Brent!

I think Jbob and I would be up for the Wednesday RFG trip as long as the level is good. I still have not gotten that comfortable in the Creekboat, but I feel better than the day on the Cheoah. This is not quite as pushy hopefully?

Andi-- We will be looking to boat. I will keep you in mind and keep you in the loop. What have you done so far and what were the levels?

lets do it!

Cool Elizabeth. You will love the level and will not, absolutely will not have the push that the Cheoah did a few weeks back. Ya'll wanna convoy or ride together? We can see who else pipes in.

I would like to plan an 11:30 a.m. meeting at Ratliff Hole with all interested folk, and plan to be off the river by 2:30ish or so and head home.

Andi, if you can get any other interested takers, you might be able to do some laps on the Lower RF while we are on the gorge section. There is one rapid you might run with a good guide, but is easily portaged.

I am in the area and wanting to spend as much time as possible away from the in-laws. I'd love to come if you don't mind showing me the way.

I am in fact looking for a day trip either Tuesday or Wed. Some pre-turkey RFG would be nice. I was thinking Tues, but if there is a crew on Wed. maybe I can make that happen.

It'll be tomorrow once I see how work goes before I know which day works.

Wow.... I love it when it turns into a partaaayy!!!

E - Only been on the Ol Elk at I think 2200.... Swam once b/c I went ahead of my guide and made out with a lovely little tree branch for a moment...Lesson Learned.. I was punished appropriately by those guiding me (though I think I escaped a lashing or too by jumping back in my boat and charging on)
I need to borrow gear from peeps or I can't do it...h2O be too cold for my thin skin..
Def. keep me in the loop.. But hell, I have no kids and just need to get out...I'd be happy running shuttle & just chillin' with some kickass people...

Ben - You're pretty new too, right? See E's ?? ~ What have you run, what levels -
Maybe this will help some of the Wise Ones of the crew to get some ideas......

I'm out.. back to football & toenail painting.....

jonesin' to smell some h2O.....andi eye popping smiley
