Russell Fork this Weekend?

I posted this meesage in the BWA Speak section without realizing my mistake. Not enough coffee this morning I guess.

I am planning on heading down this weekend to paddle the Upper section and was wondering who else might be interested in going.

B6, Brent and I, and maybe Travis Blowinger & Aleasea are heading up after work. We will run down to above Tower again like last week. Camping at Rat Hole if they let us. Don't bring any light bulbs ;-) Looks like good weather.

I might add, there is a whole slew of BWA'ers, some new, some older, that will be there again this weekend. I would say at least 20 or 30 BWA'ers if not more. Come join the party/flotilla on either the upper or the gorge. Peace out!

Are the BWAers camping at Breaks Interstate Park or Rat Hole? I am coming down on Saturday and would like to meet up with you all. Can any one give me directions to Rat Hole if that is where everyone is camping?
Thanks
James

James,

I'm working this weekend but I believe they are camping at ratliff hole and probably have already left before your message. Its fairly easy to find. After you come thru Elkhorn city you will drive over the Russell Fork. About 2 miles up from this bridge there will be a pulloff on your right with a Park sign and a gate open (there is also a river access sign on the drive up as well). This is ratliff hole. As you come into ratliff hole its pretty steep hill and they usually camp off to the left at the bottom of the hill.
