Dude I understand what you’re asking. As boaters we have to be on time (by a half an hour at the latest or you’re going to get left at the put in) or so with 10 pieces of must have gear only to put on some of the most intense creeks around. Talk about your pressure. I truly understand.
On this day when it comes to a bunch of non boating, non-gear toting, lost and half lit bunch of folks I’ve ever been around, patience is a must. Ask Bubba. But when they finally get rolling down the river it’s one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I always hope to be at the put in by Noon. The earliest we ever put on was 1pm. The latest which was last year was 3pm. There is plenty of light this time of year so when we get going we are on river time and everyone is cool as a cucumber.
So to answer your question, we are meeting at Mikes and then shuttling to put in at the forks. I hope to leave Mikes between Noon and 1pm. But Folks coming from Bowling Green run late because they have a bit of a drive not to mention they are on Central Time. Hopefully we will be on the water by 2pm at the latest. You are welcome to meet us at Mikes or at the put in.
