Interesting, but not suprizing, is how few people choose not to post to this thead. We have less then two pages. Compared to thread that is full of attacks. There must be something behind this. Could be the AH factor?

I think people generally agree with many of the above sentiments. And I think that people are worn out with all of the negativity. Really worn out. Many of us will be volunteering at the Red this weekend, and some of us will volunteer on the Elkhorn. Lots of people volunteered for the NPFF and a number of people gave their time for the clinic. And there are the amazingly patient people who give their time and energy to new paddlers like myself. People are busy; they miss some events and make it to others. I have only been involved in the club for three or four months, but enough time has passed for me to realize that I am quite fortunate to be surrounded by a really great group of people.

Lets take a deep breath, do what we can, and move forward.

Super, Joey didn't say anything about a debate being scheduled. In fact, he didn't even use the word debate. He simply said that the lack of responses here might be fueled by a desire for folks to discuss these issues in person rather than flaming up the boards, and that he looked forward to face to face discussions.

As is usual, I am sure anything being hotly debated on the forums will be fodder for discussion at the SC meeting.
