suggestions on building website

In my never ending quest to work as little as possible I have found myself wanting to have a web site for my farrier business.

I already purchased the domain names Lexingtonfarrier.com and Elizabethdecker.com from GoDaddy.com. It looks from their conformation email that they have web building tools too.

I would like some input on what to do next as well as a good web site host. I am not very good with the computer so don't get all fancy on me!

So quit doing what you are getting paid to do and give me advice instead.

I used Network Solutions when i had my site. more of an all-in-one, domain names and hosting. you can transfer your new domain names to them. seemed reasonably priced and convenient.

Hi Elizabeth,

First I need to know, did you just purchase the domain names or did you purchase a hosting agreement with GoDaddy? If you have not yet purchased hosting, then I recommend you look elsewhere. Your domain names are yours and you can take them wherever you like, but GoDaddy can be a real royal pain.

I got a phone message yesterday about web building tools for you and haven't had the chance to reply yet. It's an in-depth sort of subject. Are you going to be at the meeting tonight?

Agreed with Hanley, I'd go with a different host and just manage your domain name with them. As far as site building tools you'll want to start with the goal in mind (ie--what features/functionality do you want from your farrier site, etc) those answers'll determine what tools you'll want to use. There's lots of folks in the club that are good at this sort of stuff that'll be happy to help I'm sure.

I've had good success with Storesonline. They provide platforms that are so easy to use and a huge amount on info and strategies for search engine optimization. The customer support is pretty good too.
