This inspired me to look further. Usually there aren't a lot of whitewater boats on Craigslist, but I found this Wavesport Micro X for $200. Could be a good beginner boat for someone.

Well, I figured it was really only appropriate for "professionals", and since we're an amateur club it really isn't a club-appropriate boat.
