The two guys that came in last year, did we pay to fly both them in?

Don't know where any of them reside, but they seem to get around the globe pretty well.

Anyways I know if I had a broken back, a plane flight in coach wouldn't be much fun. Especially a LONG flight to Germany.

We always have enough beer to make him at least feel like he's in Germany if he is able to make it. smoking smiley

Last year Was Clay Wright, the year before we flew out the Range Life crew.

Frequent flyer miles would be a nice donation to the NPFF!

Will invited Rush, so technically, he has to pay for him to attend NPFF............

I would pitch in $10 towards a bus ticket, as for the room, I got a comfy couch back in LexVegas. cool smiley

Whats the difference in paying for the range life crew to fly in, vs. paying for Rush and Tyler to attend?

Perhaps we can get some of those Germans to come to the NPFF and help offset the cost of getting Rush to attend.

Rush being injured right now, I'm sure like myself, would enjoy some good paddling films while he's out of the boat.

Well, I think that it's up to us how many people we shell out $$$ for as the special guest of the film fest. If extra folks want to tag along that's their own lookout.

The post on Boatertalk never indicated anything about anyone paying his way to get here, rather asking if he was going to attend.

I understand that it cost allot to get special guest host. Sounds like Rush is the one actually editing the film to get it ready in time for the NPFF.

He didn't say he was coming, rather had interest in attending. What happened to the German film festival?

A bus trip from California with a broken back most likely won't go over well! Ouch!

In my mind, there's not much difference between flying TRL guys in vs. the Huckstables. But, it will be substantially more expensive; flights in general now are more costly. Especially cross country flights. A grand is nothing to scoff at for a volunteer organization of which a major focus is donating funds for river conservation.

I don't think it's unreasonable, I do think, however, that it warrants discussion.
