I can talk to him about having use of all the tables in there next week. They had drinks and bussing platters stored on two of them originally.

The other reminder is this. Some of you noticed how crowded the parking lot was. There was another group in there on the far side of the restaurant, the Lexington Kennel Club. They have been around for over 30yrs and they meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month and they average about 30-50 people and they are looking for a home. We beat them to this room....barely.

If we think its likely that we're going to want to be there in January, then I'd like to tell him asap. Else, we run the risk of not getting that room. We may already run that risk. I think the far side where they were might have more seating, but worse acoustics and no A/V setup.

Well, it seems unfair for me to pipe in cause it is only two minutes from my house and I totally love the food and am stoked I can finally hear all the way across the room in meetings. Selfishly, and I love the sushi and the price is still good for me, I would love to have them all there. But, despite it being perfect, totally perfect for me, I am game for whatever works and allows us to conduct our business in a reasonable and fun fashion. I set the second Tuesday of each month off on my calendar all year and do the best I can to hold those dates. So, I can go just about anywhere. Would love to try out a meeting at Riptides for example. I am not real keen on crappy fried bar food, and I don't give two hoots about beer cause I am trying to watch my calories and carbs, but it seems like a good central kentucky location for more than just the Lexington folks. I like this Panda place the best personally, but I also appreciate it is not close to a number of folks and some might find the fare a bit pricey. But, it really is not by sushi restaurant standards. I do worry that we will not be able to keep that space and would like us to be consistent when we can with our meetings. We could easily have handled 60 people and very few meetings ever exceed that. There were five ten toppers and some side tables, so it could be arranged. I would vote to stay there for a few more months and then keep our eyes peeled for something that might be more perfect yet, for more people. But hey, I am easy on the meeting location - whatever works.
