Domain switch-we need your help

Hi all,

As was discussed and voted on at the November meeting, we have purchased and activated the domain http://BluegrassWildwater.org/. In a couple of days, our old domain (surfky-bwa.org) will be redirected to point at the new domain.

I have transferred all our files directly from our old domain to our new domain, but I don't have time to go through and thoroughly test all the links and connections, so I need your help. Please, if everyone would take the time to go to the new site and browse through it and see if there are any links that don't work or anything else that must be changed before the old site is dropped. Post any needed changes back here.

IMPORTANT!!!

One of the most basic problems that we are likely to run into are links that point specifically to a page on the old site instead of just pointing to the new site's internal page. However, while the old site is still up, these links will appear to function normally. So, to be sure that everything is working correctly, keep an eye on the address bar in your browser window and make sure that all links take you to pages that start with "BluegrassWildwater.org". If any of these links take you to a page that starts with "surfky-bwa.org" (or worse yet, "surfbwa.org") please let us know here.

Thanks everyone, our new domain will go live on Wednesday, so let us know ASAP if you find anything.

On the home page, the Red River Cleanup 08 points to the What's New page!

on this page "http://www.bluegrasswildwater.org/html/Photos.html" there is a link that says
Send you photos to: webmaster@surfky-bwa.org

it points to Don's email, but it would be nice to amend it, both to change you to your and to get rid of the surfky-bwa.org part.

that's all I have time to find for now. back to work

On the events page, there's one hard-coded link to the surfky page for NPFF at the top of that event.

Other issues: webmaster info, either the text or the mailto: is incorrect (usually pointing to Don Spangler's email) on the main page, events page, top of the What's New page, Bowlines Archive page, Meet and Eat page, and at the top of Photos page. Don't know if you are changing the webmaster email to get away from surfky - there are dozens of those.

The submit stories mailto on the Bowlines main page should probably point to Don Spangler instead of kmrose.

On the NPFF William Nealy Award page, there are a couple of broken links to bowlines articles that point back to surf-bwa

I find the Chota page extremely helpful, not only with gauges and weather, but just accessing many different boating related things. I would love to see our web page as user friendly as this one is. If you boat in the Smokies, you should add this web page to your favorites:
