Rolling a K2 is not hard. Usually, the way it works is both try to set up immediately then one of the paddlers (typically the one in the stern) will be the first to initiate and the 2nd paddler waits in the set up position and then goes when the 1st starts. After a couple of practice rolls the timing will get better and the rolls will flow naturally.
