Some of you may already be using the RSS features of this Forum. Realy Simple Syndication makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.

For those who haven't and who are not fond of the current layout check out the forum in RSS view:

Bookmark this link to read the forum - it will automatically update every time a post is made. How this RSS feed looks will vary with the reader and browser.

The default view of the BWA forum is in what's called a "flat" message view. However, some folks at the BWA meeting last night said they wished the new BWA Forum displayed messages in a fashion similar to Boatertalk's "threaded" version. This way of viewing the messages is possible and is available as an option you can easily set yourself. Here's how;

Login to the AW site and then in the menu bar on the right side of the screen click:
"My Account" >>Forum settings>>Options-forum settings>> and then choose "view threaded" in the "Thread Override - List:" pulldown menu and "view threaded" in the "Thread Override - Read:" pulldown list then hit "submit" to save the changes.

Also, as mentioned in the previous post on this thread the new BWA Forum is RSS capable. Here's a screen shot of what the BWASpeak looks like in the Safari browser's RSS reader (click the link to see the file).
