Be a Volunteer for the River

The 2001 AWA Gauley Festival will be held onSaturday, September 22 in Summersville, West Virginia

This festival is a major fund raiser for the American Whitewater, the premier whitewater access, conservation,safety, and event organization in the world. To make it work, the festival needsabout 150 volunteers for publicity, the silent auction, selling raffletickets, staffing the AW booth, gate and parking, and Sunday morning cleanup. It's better in pairs. Get a buddy and come give us two hours. Volunteering is a great way to combine the fun of the festival and a contribution of your time to AW.

The AWA will provide a free limited edition Gauley Festival t-shirt in appreciation to each volunteer that will let everybody know you cared enough to volunteer.

Please contact Joe Greiner to volunteer two hours of your time to this great organization. Your help is needed to make this a fun and successful event for everybody.
