Saturday, November 15th on the Tuckaseegee River
The Natty Slalom is a new breed of kayaking race featuring traditional slalom
racing, inner tube slalom, head-to-head, midnite rodeo, and anything else you
want to race! We are seeking to create a laid-back, fun race for everyone, in
any skill level. It is perfect for beginning paddlers and college students,
but is also open to anyone looking for a bit of racing. The Natty Slalom takes
the place of the Benner Cup and Styrofoam Cup, previously the only two
collegiate competitions in the South. This race is being run by two kids who want to
keep the easy-going, slightly competitive world going, and as a benefit for
American Whitewater. We will have a raffle full of wonderful treasures donated
by our sponsors, from which the proceeds will go to AW! We need your help to
make this race a success! We need sponsors and funding to help pull this event
off, and we are accepting any donation you can give (be it $1 or a new boat for
the raffle) Contact Zac Altheimer for more information. We'll see you there!
