Now that the John Day Navigability Study is nearing completion (see

the Oregon Department of State Lands has intiated its next navigability study on the Rogue River.
American Whitewater has long supported a navigability designation on this popular whitewater and
float fishing river, and also successfully supported its designation as a Wild and Scenic River. If

A final decision to implement this study will be made on Octover 12, 2004.
