Boaters encountered a horrible surprise on the Potomac. Over 60 million gallons of raw and
partially treated sewage spilled in Antietam Creek, a tributary of the Potomac.

Washington Postreports that millions of
gallons of partially treated sewage was released into the Potomac at Hagerstown, MD, which is 60
miles upriver from Great Falls on Antietam Creek.
