Binocular Portage
| Description: | This is the high point of our portage through Binocular. The middle drop is visible and is the cause of the portage. We used a rope to lift the boats up two short cliffs to reach this spot. From here we lowered them back to river level and carried them into the alcove visible on the left. We used a rope again to pull them up through a tunnel a short distance, which put in position to run the exit drop. | |||
