Account	High Falls Dam is currently getting relicensed by NYSEG. American Whitewater is investigating this reach for a possible whitewater flow study. Too beautiful to pass up. This drop is likely indicative of the former whitewater resources of the Saranac now largely buried beneath the stairway of hydropower projects. This gorge contains a series of difficult Class V drops interspersed with continuous Class IV. This drop in particular looks difficult at certain water levels. This is portagable provided you eddy out well above the waterfall.
