| Account | Numerous boaters in our group run the best gradient sequence on Upper Peninsula Michigan's Rock River. Even though it's really only a class III, we always either scout or have the lead boater proceed cautiously (boat-scouting), as the drop has a rocky 90-degree right bend which tends to trap wood. On this particular occasion, a good sized log was wedged in the rocks. We were able to submerge on end of it enough for (relatively) safe passage. |
