| Account | For a shorter run you can access the river just downstream of the '64 Logjam rapid. This access requires negotiating a short but steep trail down into the gorge. The paddlers in the photo are putting in at the base of the trail. Lining up for the slot in Boulder Rapid. this is one of those drops where it's nice to have a willing probe. The line on Drain Hole is to start left and then make the hard move with the current all the way back to far river right avoiding the "drains" that disappear beneath the boulders. Running this drop requires you to start down the left and the follow the current around to the slot on far river right. The Sandy River flows through a beautiful scenic gorge with lush hanging gardens. Revenue Bridge Rapid is visible by looking upstream from the takeout at Revenue Bridge. |
