| Account | The Green Truss Bridge marks the take-out for the Farmlands run and put-in for the Green Truss run. This is a private bridge owned by SDS Lumber. They allow loading and unloading but don't park your car anywhere near the bridge. On most days the trip starts with the hot sweaty job of lowering your boats into the gorge. You quickly cool off once you hit the water. After some fun warmup rapids Meatball is the first significant drop on the run. This drop comes up just after Meatball and serves up the first of several tricky holes that this run is known for. Another fun ledge drop just below Bob's. This is a great waterfall just below Big Brother. The name says it all--two big drops in quick succession. Conor catching some air as he drops into the second drop of Double Drop. Most of the drops on this run can be easily portaged but you better be prepared to run Zigzag Canyon. Megi emerges from the canyon after a successful run of Upper Zigzag. Heading down into Lower Zigzag another rapid that can not be easily portaged. Looking back upstream at Lower Zigzag. |
