Deschutes River, train
Report
| Account | Jet boats travel up the river but there are some days where jet boats are not allowed. The clean line is down the left side avoiding the hole to center right. Here the river flows through a long and narrow bedrock-carved channel. It is one of the longer rapids on the run. Looking downstream towards the last pitch of Gordon Ridge Rapids. While there is no road along the river there is a rail line that runs along river left on the Lower Deschutes. Many of the campsites are down the hill from the tracks. |
