Too low for any real whitewater. (Possible to float, but rapids will be a scrape.) Gauge (65.4 sq.mi. drainage) is right at take-out. A fairly substantial trib comes in right there, so flow in reach is somewhat less than gauge. |
River Description
We have no specific information about rapids on this stretch. However, there seems adequate
drainage and gradient to generate at least some mild whitewater interest (or at least
swiftwater).
Anyone having more specific knowledge (to confirm or refute existence of real whitewater) is
encouraged to submit comments or reports (with or without photos) to help out your fellow river
explorers.
Bill Caputi provides our first report (2010-06-11):
Paddled at 125cfs. Too low. Fly fishermen in waders laughed at me. I'd try it again at
150-175 or higher.
Nice class I & II. Really small, but not too brushy.
