we ran this on march 17th 2011.. this was a awesome run. we hiked up from the bridge on 55 towards
the base of the falls as far as we could..put in started out class 3 and 4..go around a left bend
then eddy out left this will be your first rapid..there is an old damn river left of the island. u
wanna run the dam down the tounge towards river right.. if u go left u might not come out..damn
runs into some good cushy stuff that involves lots of mysteries..ride the pillow around the
corner.. get ready to boof the center line..about a 5 foot drop..i this rapid was def class 5
rapid..take a quick break eddy out left again..we started river left here..(i think u can run right
too... scout it) start left.. drive hard right.. huge boof goin righ toff ledge.. drop about 6 feet
onto the diagnol.. hang on keep driving right and ride the 90degree corner out...if u get left ur
gettin flipped in the toilet bet thingy inside the corner... right after corner there is a 3 feet
litle pour over about 20 feet wide in the center of river... its easy to avoid...quickly eddy out
next rapid is right there. we eddy out left here again.. but there ir a right side line that could
be good.. there was a log in it...we ran center line in between to big rock.. this line is
tricky..u gotta drive hard right in between the rocks.. if u fall off left ur going about 10 feet
down on nasty rocks... u stay right u got ur self a sweet line that is smooth with a cool boof!..
now u will be at a little lake.. there is a man made dam.. we went down it farrrrr right on a
little channel...eddy out right immediatly.. the big boy is next...scout goooood! there was wood
everywheres here..dont even think about running the left side of the island.. its all rock..go
right...run down.. this drop starts out with 100 feet of class 3 little FU spots..theres two small
birch trees that were alive standing in the water..we went left of them but stayed real tight to
them..then ur on a manky drops and rocks for about 10 feet.. this will very easily mess u up.. keep
paddling dirivng right.. paddly right into the diagnol coming from river right...keep in mind. this
is almost vertical... hit the diagnol..then u got about 20 foot vertical into the bottom... hole
didnt seem bad at all but the boild wants to beat u up on the wall...trust me i know. then ur
done.. class 3 for quarter mile.. get out at bridge.. we have a video and pics we will get up....
enjoy this run... its great!
