HAZARDS: two damns to portage, strainers
Description: Long stretches of class II water broken up by high quality class III (IV-) drops. There is a class five at the put in that most people skip. The Dam at Scott's Mills is very runnable and many people make it their first waterfall.
Gauge at monitor bridge should be at least 5.6
Pat welches estimate should be over 200, and over 400 for a smoother float.

prominent class IV long rapid (about half way through the run). It looks as if you can sneak it on
river left, but at the last second you will find there is another log blocking this path as well.
Portage right!
sometimes being portaged river left. There are some great play waves just downstream of the falls
at Scott's Mills.
