Logistics: Highway 6, a major state highway between Portland and Tillamook, parallels the river allowing you to get an idea of the general character of the run.
The main take-out for this section is at Highway 6 mile post 15. Park in the pullout along the river side of the road and carry up from the rock ledges below.
The put-in is at Highway 6 mile post 22.6 at the Jones Creek Day Use Area. Turn off the highway
and cross the bridge. The day use area is on the downstream river right side of the bridge.
