River Description
The Emory river from Nemo to Oakdale is an easy float trip suitable for beginner paddlers.The
scenery is good and all of the rapids are easy class 2 with the exception of Nemo rapid which is
easy class 3.The putin is at Nemo bridge and the takeout is in Camp Austin.

described in the Waldenridge link. However, the AW map shows the full run ending at Oakdale, 9+
miles long. -G. DeBacher
water to run without getting stuck. Nemo Rapid I snuck on the right. There were several class 2s
requiring careful maneuvering. Still, newbies should be OK at this level, and the pools between
rapids make for easy gear recovery. The run would be a little easier with more water.
