SEASON: November to May.
ACCESS: If you're driving from the north, then look for the sign to Wynoochee Lake Recreation Area at Hwy 101 mile 112.6 (approximately 4 miles north of the bridge across the Humptulips), and take Donkey Creek Road (FR 22) east off Highway 101 for 9.7 miles to two roads that turn off to the right. The first of these is the A Line Road which heads to the take-out. The second of these two roads heads through a maze of logging roads on commercial forest land to a put-in near the mouth of Rock Creek (bring your high clearance rig and prepare for an adventure--i.e. I couldn't figure it out so post a comment if you do, you might try spur roads off the A Line too). To reach the take-out, follow the A Line Road up and over a high ridge before descending into the Humptulips valley. It's 7.9 miles from FR 22 to the bridge and you want to stay on this main line (several side spurs turn off this primary road and can be recognized as such by gates which can be used to close them off). If you're driving from the south, take the East Fork Humptulips Road east off Highway 101 at mile 108.4 (just south of the Highway 101 bridge across the East Fork Humptulips) and follow it to the A Line bridge across the river.
DESCRIPTION:
A narrow and beautiful gorge is the primary feature of this run.
for additional information see:
A new gauge was recently established on the Humptulips. This gauge is below the confluence of the east and west forks so actual flow on this reach will be lower. Post a comment on recommended flows.

logs, causing a small river-wide logjam. In IKs, we were able to get to a little rock outcropping
on the right and pull boats over. Higher water might break this up a little.
