Good intro to creeking. Some cool boulder drops. Mostly bedrock rapids. One ten foot waterfall about 2/3s of the way down. A nice 4 stage waterfall right above the takeout. There is an old logging road down the river right side, making for easy portages.
The takeout is at the parking area where the pinch creek enters Glade Creek or continue on for another 7 miles of similiar whitewater.

to change the nature and runnability of this creek. Currently the stream page listing of the
creek's difficulty of IV is absolutely false. You should not go into this run unless you have solid
class V skills and are ready to boat and bank scout. The presence of wood is constantly changing
and every run you should expect that wood can collect at every rapid. As of my last running the
last weekend of Feburary, there were must make portages above and below the double hydrolic slide
halfway down, above Tripple Drop, and in the third drop of tripple drop. Running tripple drop at
this time is absolutely unadviseable, as the wood in third drop extends the width of the creek.
Along the way there were also several questionable limbo logs that could fall in at any time. Also,
with or without the presence of wood, Pothole Eater has become a full class V. The flow of the
rapid has changed creating a nasty hole, which has caused several very good kayakers to swim. Scout
and set safety river right.
bottom of Pothole Eater that goes from bank to bank and has started to collect branches and other
debris. I ran it about a month ago, watched someone else swim it and made a mental note that I
would not run it again. Since then, it has collected additional branches/wood and looks more
dangerous. We plan on trying to remove it this summer, but it is going to be a tall task. It is
going to continue to get worse, so, at least scout it. Will update if removed. In the Winter of
2010, the dam gave way and this stream is no longer the same. The scenic nature of it has gone way
down hill. The banks continue to be unstable in several areas. There is wood all over the place.
There are several rapids that did not previously exist and major changes in "old rapids." If you
are going out expecting to run an old friend without scouting, you are wrong. Prudent boat or bank
scouting is recommended. It is going to continue to change and collect more wood and the scoured
banks continue to erode. Edit
lot of water. The long, smooth bedrock slides are fun, but a little intimidating if you don't know
what's ahead.
