River Description

Spring Creek lies just west and parallel to the popular Little Vermilion. However, being a smaller watershed, it will not as often contain enough water to boat. You will almost assuredly encounter deadfalls and snags, fences, as well as numerous low bridges in the golf course. At higher flows, each of these obstacles may prove challenging to navigate or portage.

Gauge Information

Gauge Description:

Visual. It will take subtantial rain to make this little creek runnable, and the window of opportunity will be fairly narrow. Be ready to jump on it immediately after rains, or you'll miss it.

Generally will require nearby Little Vermilion to be at 4' or higher on its paddler gauge (upstream face of the center pier of the first bridge south of I-80).
