I think (i wasn't driving) that the Takeout is on 111 just past Dunlap. The putin is at the top of the hill at a pull out on the left. Yesterday it was a somewhat epic hike in down steep grade snowcover rock about 3/4 mile.
The run was very continuous in nature after about the 1st half-mile of 2/3 water. After that the gradient picks up and it narrows down for a couple of good miles. Good slotty drops, most 6 - 10 feet. Scout all the blind ones, as there are some trees in bad places. The thermometer was a burly 14 degrees at the putin. There is a gauge painted on the takeout bridge. Yesterday it was at 0'. Of the people that had run it before, they considered this optimum. On a run of 6" Harry said it was a portagefest.

Not the 'roadside quickie' you think from the shuttle. Put in by hiking down where road bends
away from the river.
Numerous rapids including undercuts, big holes, and some logs. One rapid has road-rock debris and
is particularly nasty. Another is quite long and packs a sticky, riverwide hole above the
steepest section. 2 10' ledges near the end, and the 2nd packs a stiff hole but is sneakable on
right. Good creek with some mank, kinda like Suck Cr.

The standard is right on the hwy, where it starts to bend to the right near the top. there's a pull
off on the left. nice bush-whack straight down to the creek.<br>

Above that, go to the top of the mtn (look 4 a church on the right, forgot the name) take a left
right after it. there's a cable across the road about half way down. it's a 10 min hike down to the
creek.<br>

L. Brush Creek<br>
This should be changed to a IV-V run, as it is it's<br>
definately the hardest, most dangerous class III-IV<br>
run I know of. Read Clay's description on AW. I run it<br>
5 times @ all different levels, and every levels<br>
represents it own set of changes. There's a long<br>
rapid, we named Krispy Kreme that that has about four<br>
holes, with undercuts that have to be punched to get<br>
to the main drop. Which is about 50 yds long, with a<br>
sieve on the left. Everyone I have boated with over<br>
there all liked the run, and will attest that it's got<br>
some action. I have some video, if you'd like to put<br>
it on AW, I'll get you a copy.<br>
