There is a new tree blocking the entire right side of the creek(where you normally run) in the
rapid directly above Dryline Falls. You nomally boof over some mank in the lead-in, then drive
right along the smooth right boulder for a sweet boof, but this line os a no-go as of 4-11-09. Left
line goes, but don't get surfed at the bottom - it feeds under an undercut in the middle of the
creek at the base of this rapid. Edit

The rock use to sit on the top of the falls and during a flood it washed over the lip. There are
old photos that show this. The only reported fatality is at the rapid called Powderhouse in the
crack on the left bank that caused a pin.

I ran this in 2003. A local fisherman told me an interesting story. He said that the large spire
rock at the base of the falls was a recent addition. Apparently, two local boaters were running the
creek, with knowledge from prior descents, came over the lip of the familiar falls, and launched
directly into the rock, which fell from underneath the road, and wasn't there before. (By the way,
the road looks a bit spooky, now.) One of them died. It just goes to show that things change, and
we need to be careful, even on streams that we think we know. Someone leaves a wreath at the top of
this falls every so often, so apparently someone believes that a friend/relative died at the falls.
