River Description
Lunice Creek runs along Route 42 below Schell, WV and looks like a fun Class III run. It would be
an outstanding pairing with the North Fork of Patterson Creek, which flows through Greenland Gap
just east of Schell. Unfortunately, Lunice is full of wood and needs to be cleaned out before it
would be worth the effort. The North Fork of Patterson Creek could also use a cleaning.
This is roadside access on Rt. 42 and you can putin as high up as you think possible. All of the
access points appear to be adjacent to private land, so ask permission before putting on. Takeout
just above Maysville (and below what looks like the largest slide drop) unless you want to continue
downstream on a Class I-II section.
