Rosassco Canyon lies about a mile below the bridge in Downieville where they hung a woman named Juanita in 1851. The ramblin boogie water is a spongecake to prep you for the first rapid waiting. Big Dummy (portaged left, scouted right). This rapid has changed over the years as debris has filled it in. The river chokes against the right wall and willows and then falls off the Big Dummy Flake. After Big Dummy lies The Flake, Little Dummy and other secrets that you'll just have to kayak to believe. Magical canyon with little room for error. If its not snowing at put-in for the Yuba, check your coordinates.
