River Description

Sixmile Creek is a short whitewater stream owned by Clemson University. The majority of the run is easy class I with a few small ledges and rock gardens. There are two notable rapids. One is a three foot vertical ledge that requires a good boof on the right. Running anywhere else results in a HARD piton. The second rapid is a rock slide similar to the drops on the Chauga in Chau Ram Park. The run was remarkably free of trees and on my first run I only portauged twice.

The first real rapid on Sixmile Creek is a vertical ledge. Don't be fooled into going down the center because the is a piton rock waiting on the left and cetern lines.
