Located in the south 'burbs of Kansas City, MO.
Put-in: park entrance on Blue Ridge Road by Holmes Road.
Take-out: Red Bridge Park on Red Bridge Road.
Watch for strainers and floating debris. Huge strainer debris forms above bridge near take out.
Earthen banks cause loose soil and changing conditions as trees are washed away. Urban paddling
with a woodsy, secluded feeling.
Some surfing waves are created by pipelines running across the river. Treat these features as you
would a low water bridge and avoid the hydraulic.
Remember high bacterial counts are your paddling partners.
