River Description
Shuttle: Take WV 16 south of Hartland to Bickmore. Turn left on Fola Road (CR 17), then shortly
thereafter bear left on Leatherwood Road and follow down off of the ridge to the confluence of
Leatherwood Creek with its Right Fork.
Description: This is oil and gas country. Many pipelines cross the creek. At low paddleable
levels 2-4 portages may have to be made. A higher levels it requires a paddler to pay close
attention to barely submerged pipelines.
Not to be confused with the III-IV run in Webster County.
