Ron Urias provides (2008-05-30):
Stickle rapids is a natural rock rapids. There's a big ol' wave there at 7' or more. Looks
pretty nasty over 13'.
White Breast Creek, above the rapids, just downstream from Melcher-Dallas, is narrow and deep and
a great for swimming fishing kayak and conoeing.

Analysis of the USGS gauge data from 1962-2004 yields:
Drainage area = 342 square miles
All time minimum = 0.02 cfs
All time maximum = 24,700 cfs
10% flow exceeds = 994 cfs
90% flow exceeds = 2.8 cfs
so the 10/90 ratio: 355!
This is an extremely flashy stream!
