River Description

Hey, if I am going to create a fake river for testing, might as well make it look impressive!

This fabulous river is especially good for testing out pictures, html code, display graphs and such.

Type the title here

This format is from the template tool.   On the top row of tool icons, the 6th one from the left shows a page with a T on it.   Be careful as t will erase the rest of your page and overwrite with a simple template.   The code does create this wrap around text, however, so is worth looking at in a safe page.

This format does give a nice border around the image and has the text wrap to the side and below.    The code that does this is:

<img width="100" height="100" align="left" style="margin-right: 10px;" alt="" />

Sometimes things do work out.

Not really sure what this is about.

Type the title here               sthaurrr  th  entheu snthaur hnht ost sthnthnthth ueothtnoehut rcgcgl ntth ulue This is the big mother, and where you can go nuts. Do not plagiarize! Ideas include: a general description, description of rapids, playspots, logistics, hazards, portages, water quality, scenery, solitude, camping, paper maps, suitable crafts, run time, drainage area, geology, morhpology, elevation, history, similar nearby runs, runs of similar difficulty, references to guidebooks, and links to government or personal (non-profit) webpages. Descriptions are stored as HTML (anything that would normally go between the body tags), and you may enter them as such to provide you with greater flexibility. Make sure your HTML is correct. Note that extra '&', '"', '<', and '>' characters can really screw things up. If you do not know html, then choose text, but if you are editting a description with existing html tags, you may want to just cut and paste the description as it appears in your browser window when looking at river descriptions, because the html tags will not display properly if resubmitted as text.

This river only runs at an optimal flow on weekends from mid summer to the week before Christmas. Flows in this reach have absolutely nothing in common with flows in Black Canyon of the Colorado River below Hoover Dam. But if you click on the link, it should open a new window.

I don't think this comment feature works right now, march 2, 2007. Prove me wrong! edit Oct 19,
2011 -- You got proved wrong! Now go hide somewhere, Loser! checking to see if the original comment
date is preserved when I edit this comment but checkmark the Preserve post date option. Looks like
it updated the Post Date to reflect the edit date. The Preserve Post Date option did not work.

This is another comment test to see if the whole comment is sent to the streamteamer or the rest of
the regional streamteam leaders for California. Comments were not being forwarded for awhile, but
it sounds like they are being forwarded again. I want to see what information is sent that
identifies the reach where the comment was made. Is there a link back to the reach page? Can I tell
what reach is being commented on without having to click back to the reach? Can I read the comment
without having to click back to the reach.

Rapid Descriptions

Boofoo Blast
Drops 120 feet into a warm pool with poolside bar and resteraunt next door.  Plenty of spectators to cheer you on.

Heck's Pecks (Class II+, Mile 4.0)

This rapid is a very serious rapid to see if the next rapid I create has the same description as this one.

Charge off the top of the waterfall.

13 Dynamos (Class N/A, Mile 4.5)

Well this description was blank when I created the rapid, so I think that is a good sign.

Gina's Hots (Class IV+, Mile 4.8)

45 big rapids one after another mark this favorite play spot for local surfer girls.
