River Description
Recommendations from Adrian VandenBout.
This is another of the Finger Lakes Outlet streams, many of which are runnable. (See the Canandaigua, Keuka, and Owasco Outlets for other
examples.)
This run sports two great class III-IV drops. One is perfect roadside park'n'huck (Papermill
Falls, on Papermill Road). The other, Triphammer Falls, has been accessed and run frequently by
the young members of FLOW, after asking landowner
permission. Papermill Road (and Park, right after the Falls), would make a great takeout for a
run. Triphammer is a mile upstream.
