shore. Raft picked up kayak downstream. Kayaker unable to hike along shore as canyon extremely
steep without shore. Kayaker had to swim downstream, towed by canoeist, to get to kayak. Water temp
35 degrees, without sun due to canyon walls. Very dangerous section due to cold water, lack of
shoreline to use, lack of escape from 10 mile-long canyon and continuous Class III + at that level.
