River Description

Listed data is just for Sand Island Creek. It is unknown whether access is possible via a road which is shown the river (on river-left, near the confluence of Sand Island and the Black River). It is highly likely that (rather than hazarding that access) boaters will instead opt to continue down the final mile of the 'Middle Black' to take out at Great Conglomerate Falls.

Confluence with Black River elevation is approximately 950'.
Thus elevation change is approximately 180'.

This is a small tributary of the Black River. With only 7.7 square miles of drainage, this will be runnable only when the Black is running high. We know of no runs on this stream, and thus have no specific information on correlation with the Black. Current 'minimum' is obviously therefore a wild guess, yet to be substantiated.
