AFWS Rocky Broad Gauge

The minimum for a run is around 4.0 on the Bat Cave AWFS online gauge.

Recent Reports state the run can be done as low at 3.6 on the Hwy. 64 Bridge gauge at the put-in.

The Hwy 64 bridge gauge reads between .2 and .4 inchs lower than the AFWS gauge at low flows. We are still collecting data on this, so please post comments in the area below.

Flows above 5.5 online or 4.5 at the bridge are getting rather big. Non-stop class 5.

According to Moheinous on boatertalk (July 9,2003): "The AWFS site is very unreliable, but recently it's been showing a flow @ Bat Cave. I ran the lower with a too low flow yesterday at 4.1 AWFS online reading, I would guess about 4.5 would be a good minimum. This number dosen't coorespond with the USGS bridge gauge(not online) at Bat Cave(1st bridge over the lower). The bridge gauge said 3.6, so I would quess about 4.0 for that guage."
