Gauge Description:
The Blanco tends to fluctuate more than most rivers its size. Be sure to note if the river is on the way up or on the way down BEFORE begining a run. It can rise from good runnable levels to very dangurous flood levels in less than 2 hours. While it fluctuates quickly on the way up, it can take weeks for it to fall below the recommended flow. If you wait for the peak flow after a rain you'll have plenty of days to make your run at whatever level you want and less of a chance of finding yourself in water you're not prepared for.
